Diwali- The Festival of Lights

Room 12 was very lucky to have Aaysush's mum the lovely Mrs Nagpal in to share her ideas on the way her family celebrates Diwali.  Diwali is held in late October early November. Diwali celebrates the beginning of the Indian new year. 

Room 12 took part in the following activities:

• Listening to Mrs Nagpal read a shared book on Diwali
• Decorating Rangoli patterns using water colours and pens
• Designing Rangoli patterns
• Creating Scraffito art with fireworks as the theme
• Listening to Diwali themed music
• Made  tea light holders using clay and decorated them
