We know that we are successful when we:
- Know the letter names and the sounds letters make
- Know our pink, red, yellow, blue and green words in our word pockets
- Use blends to helps us read new words
- Look at the pictures to get clues
- Point to the words with our finger as we read and later read with our eyes only
- Talk about what happened in the beginning, middle and end of the story
- Answer questions about the story
