Firemen and a Fire Engine at Sunnyhills!

The Junior School were very lucky to have the local fire fighters visit Sunnyhills in their red fire engine.  We had fun walking through the inside of the fire engine and looking at all the switches,hoses and fire safety equipment.  

Room 12 enjoyed sharing their Firewise ideas and looking at all the different clothes and tools that protect the fire fighters.

Remember:

• Make sure you have smoke alarms in your house that are working
• Get down, get low, get out fast
• Have a meeting place to go to if there is a fire
• Learn your address in case you need to call 111 in an emergency

Get down below the smoke! Don't be afraid if you see a fireman in his protective clothes. They are there to keep you safe!
